Gel, is a better cushion than standard, but this does not solve the problem of comfort. The problem is that the front of the seat needs to be elevated and some people also think that the indentation should be father back or at the least filled in. My thinking is that a padding of foam should be inserted under the cover to fill the middle of the indentation in. Also I placed a spacer and longer bolts under the front attachment (as discussion further down the list in this forum by another rider).
